The school works to ensure that the educational and social needs of the children will be identified and provided for with due care and attention, and in such a manner as to offer a secure and reliable service for parents and carers.

Goodrington is a small, well-run independent school with a warm, friendly atmosphere that enables children to enjoy their education. There are five forms in the school, each one small enough to ensure that every pupil receives individual attention as needed.

The school, which was first opened in the 1930s, is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in a residential area of Hornchurch and has a large garden for games and play. The hall is used by the Nursery Class, and for concerts and plays.

Major building work has been carried out in recent years to improve school amenities, including a new hall, and further improvements are planned.

We take children from 3 to 11 years of age and prepare them for entrance either to state secondary or to independent schools, in accordance with the wishes of parents and the ability of the child.

We are conscious that education is a partnership between children, school and parents and are therefore pleased to welcome parents into school whenever they wish to discuss their child's progress.

Our Curriculum covers Foundation Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. We can also accommodate children with general learning difficulties, such as Dyslexia and Dyspraxia.
